I created a decoupage project using some amazing napkins from the Decoupage Club Box and an IOD mould. The results are stunning - If you're into decoupage or looking to try it out, I highly recommend checking out the Decoupage Club Box. The selection of napkins and other supplies is top-notch.
Here is an instruction list for your project:
-
Gather all of your supplies, including the 6 x 6 wood canvas, Fusion Paint in the colours Picket Fence, Putty and Vintage Gold Metallic, napkins, I used 2 from the January Decoupage Club Box, IOD Frames Mould, Casting Resin, Dark Wax and a collection of lace or material, I used the Essential Shabby Collection.
-
Paint the wood canvas with the picket fence paint. Allow the paint to dry completely. Then using Liquid Patina, apply the napkin to the whole surface.
-
Using the IOD Frames Mould, create a "cameo" frame shape using Casting resin.
-
Cut out the desired design from the 2nd napkin and attach it to the Casting resin cameo using Liquid Patina. Allow the glue to dry completely.
-
Using the colour Putty, paint the frame around the cameo frame. Allow the paint to dry completely. Then paint with Vintage Gold Metallic.
- Once dry, dry brush Picket Fence over the gold and wipe back using a baby wipe.
-
Attach the cameo frame to the center of the painted wood canvas using construction adhesive. Allow the glue to dry completely before displaying or using the finished project. You can see how I added lace under the frame in the video below
